I'm a multidisciplinary UI / UX designer based in Toronto, Ontario, focused on building connected products, services and interactive experiences.
Empathy, yes… empathy. The seven letter word that drives our craft, the core of it all. It’s something most claim they have, but find it hard to believe that persons with disabilities account for a large population of our users.
Accessibility benefits everyone. Think about it – the usability problems that affect some people when using your digital product, will certainly affect those with disabilities. This is a deep topic that I believe can be solved with attention to iterative usability testing.
Everyone deserves equal opportunity to access information. Blind people can actually read things so text heavy such as newspapers and magazines, today. Put simply, it makes people’s lives better, because we created those experiences.
Designers and developers coexist, and have many tools that could make up a long list, but we ought to not forget about what drives us in the first place.
You know about me. Tell me about yourself!
